The truth is, I didn't know I had an artistic bone in my body until I was 40 years old!! My husband and I have date nights every month or so and try things we have never tried before. A friend was taking a stained glass class for a few weeks and asked if we wanted to try it with her. 

The first time I scored a piece of glass and it broke the way I wanted to..something clicked and I was hooked! Within a year I was addicted and had a VERY expensive hobby. I loved all of the amazing textures and hues of glass. I loved how I could bring a piece to life based on the glass I chose. my husband and I are avid divers so that is where the Paua and Nautilus shell theme is derived from. I was always attracted to the The Fibonacci Sequence in nature and the Nautilus shell is such a beautiful example of it. It is the perfection we see in nature. It is the inspiration for the name of the Nature's Glory series. 

The Fibonacci Sequence is the series of numbers:0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, ...The next number is found by adding up the two numbers before it. It has been used by artist and architects for ever. 

A friend suggested that I enter a juried art show locally and I was accepted. And so it began... I started the business part time in 2009. 

In 2011 I left my job of 13 years as an executive recruiter and entered my business full time. In 2012 I was approached at a Sugarloaf show and asked if I had considered wholesaling. So I started wholesaling in 2013. It has been an exciting journey so far!! My Wildest Dreams Studio's Nature's Glory series is now being featured in over 50 shops & galleries across the USA and in Canada. This is beyond MY WILDEST DREAMS!!
