Thomas Meyers creates beautiful mirrors and glass wall pieces by combining three disciplines: collage, stained glass, and mosaic. These innovative and unique pieces can be described best as "laminated glass mosaics." The glass panel is comprised of various iridescent, mirrored, textured and hand-painted pieces of sheet glass, hand cut and set, (sometimes in multiple layers) onto a framed wood panel. Thomas Meyers compares establishing artistic order using disparate elements to transforming a pile of stones into a beautiful stone wall. Each element must occupy its correct place for the beautiful end result.
